Reserve Your Weekend:
A deposit of $1500 is required to hold your weekend date ($500 refundable up to 16 weeks prior & refunded at the close of wedding season). 30% non-refundable deposit is required for catering-option 10 weeks before your date. Full payments (Venue & Catering) are due 6 weeks before your date.

Beyond our package, this is what you need to know about
Your Wedding at Sun Lotus:

Paul and Anita, remain on-site, and fully facilitate your wedding weekend; They are there to answer questions, make more coffee, figure out your sound & electrical requirements, get you an ironing board, find you pins, tape, serving spoon, fancy bowl, etc, etc, etc....having their house as your own home base will ensure that all details will be taken care of ... in the case of rain, you will find this an invaluable feature!

-There are two choices for catering; you may either use our exceptional catering service from $25. per person; or, if you wish to Self-Cater, consult with our chef and he will cook-off, present, and maintain your buffet, using our equipment, facilities & propane, pack it away and clean it up for a fee of $500.-Ensuring that you and all your guests relax and enjoy the day!
(this may cut your catering budget in half!)

Facilities include: *2 super-size BBQs & party-size wok, 2 refrigerators, 2 deep freezers, 2 standing water dispensers and all buffet service-ware

You are required to have your own special-event/liquor liability insurance. (approx $200)

-You may provide your own alcohol, and must provide a Bartender and follow current regulations. We can provide a bartender (often 2) for $200/up to 8 hours (plus tip jar)

-Rehearsal dinner buffet from $18 per person and post-wedding meals can be arranged for the evening before and the day-after your wedding (you may do rehearsal dinner yourself with no fee)

-If you wish, you may rent chairs, tables, dishes, flatware & linens or we can rent them for you with our wedding planning services. On-site we have several accessory tables, chairs, flower planters, and other decor items which you are welcome to utilize.(vintage mix'n'match china available for rental)

-Live Music must be arranged on an individual basis and cannot run later than 10pm.

-Your party is responsible for clean up. A Damage and Clean-up deposit of $1000 is required on Credit card upon arrival (full clean-up charge is $500.)

- We keep strict control over the volume of music, and it is kept to a respectable level for our "Country Neighbourhood". We do NOT require the party be shut-down, however, all dancing is kept in the dancehall, and at 10:00 pm the doors are to remain closed, leaving an effective volume inside, and minimal sound outside. Dance music must change to ambient music when alcohol service ceases at 1:00 am.
(note: Rehearsal night shut down is 11:00 pm, and only ambient music allowed for rehearsal night)

-Extensive on-site parking is available for all your guests, cars and some RV's

-Use of the campfire and wood-sauna, are subject to fire regulations and cannot be guaranteed in the summer months; they can, however, add a unique and wonderful aspect to a Spring or Rainy-Day Wedding. The campfire bowl can otherwise be decorated with candles, flowers or greenery to create a beautiful center piece.

-Throwing of paper confetti, rice or balloon releases are forbidden; but petals, bubbles, butterflies, birds or bells are always welcome!

-We have room for many Tents and Rvs;, but there are no hook-ups.

To respect our neighbours and ensure everyone's safety, the lake area is a designated Quiet-Zone after dark.

While you attend to your cleanup, Sun Lotus will prepare for you two Complimentary Breakfasts & offer your guests:

Sunday Morning Casual Brunch Buffet at $15 person
coffee, juice, breads & spreads, fruit, ham & cheese and custom-made local farm fresh eggs

Beautiful Cowichan River Tubing Excursion $30 person
1.5 hour "exciting" or "relaxing" tubing experience
up to 40 participants

Sunday-Overnight available for extended stay $670 +tax
(includes breakfast for 14, other meals can be arranged separately)
